Can I get my roommate evicted for charging me more than half the rent in a rent stabilized apartment?

If the lease in his name there is nothing you can do. His name is on the lease, therefore if anything were to happen to the apartment it is his sole responsibility, that is why he can charge you whatever he wants.Sorry to say, but on this one you have no legal recourse.
