Which Honda, Nissan, or Toyota car is best for a teen?

No pick up trucks or minivans. The car has to have automatic transmission. Is CVT similar to automatic? I've looked at the Nissan Maxima and I found it's safety and interior features nice. The Xterra is also on my mind for its rugged appearance and award-winning recognitions. I know these are completely different cars, but it's just too hard for me to choose one. Maybe their luxury lines (Acura, Infiniti, and Lexus) have a decent car to drive.
