Did this happen to anyone else after a hysterectomy?

so i have been spotting since my hysterectomy on the 1st of this month until yesterday i felt a gush of blood and ran to the bathroom and it looked liked i was on my heaviest period i have ever had and i ped a blood clot (at least the size of a 50 cent piece) went and saw my dr and he checked me out and said everything was fine i might have over done it and there wasn't even any trace of blood down there, so i came home and rested well last nite the same thing happened rush of blood then the ping of a rather large blood clot i have already called my dr and i am waiting for a call back i am just wondering does this sound normal to you and has anyone else went threw this?
