How do you use a food dehydrator?

I just realized we have one. lol I think my husband brought it with him when he moved in and I never noticed it in our cupboard. Anyway. I want to use it to make some dried fruit. It's the Ronco one, but it doesn't have the book and I don't have a clue what to put on it or how to use it. How do you make jerky? Maybe I'll ask a separate question for that one. lol What kinds of food are good dehydrated?
