You're wrong about the atheists. You said that they don't believe that God exists, but that is not true. They simply know that there is no observable proof of God's existence. No "belief" is necessary in this case. It's pretty much impossible to beat reason, but if a believer were truly confident about their beliefs, they would know better than to argue with reason.
