Strange period and cycle?

It is a good question. Clearly there would have been numerous opportunities to move into the habitat of the Arctic but something is preventing it. It isn't a matter of the Penguin's instincts IMO. Storms and other occurrences happen that cause animals to move off course. They are common at the equator off the Galapagos Islands. Nothing would prevent northward migration. I would suggest that it is probably due to other successful animals already exploiting that niche. They wouldn't survive well on land with Polar Bears and Arctic foxes so that may be the deciding factor. Some flight may be a necessity in the Arctic whereas it isn't in the Antarctic. Perhaps because flight is not needed in the Antarctic to escape bears and foxes, penguins have been able to adapt their swimming ability more and are thus able to out-compete the flying competition that that they would experience from Arctic migraters.

Trickling/crackling noise coming from wall?

I live in a pre war apartment in NYC (if construction has anything to do with it) and starting from yesterday I have been noticing a very odd noise which, to put it as best I can, sounds a lot like water in the process of freezing. It starts out like a trickling noise and then crackles like whatever was in there just got sent to the ice age. At first the noise happened maybe once an hour or two, and now it's happening much more frequently, every couple of minutes. As best as I can tell, there is no obvious correlation (doesn't occur when I use water, when someone else uses water, when I bang on the wall, etcetera). This is the first winter I have lived here, so I'm hoping it is something related to the heating system. Any ideas? I don't notice any water leakage or discoloration or anything else visible, it's just the sound that is driving me nuts.

As a Christian, my understanding is that there is a God, three persons in one, and that Christ is God in human form, now resurrected and ascended. I can also see what seems to be the organised activity of the Devil in the world. However, despite what the Bible appears to say on the subject, i have to admit i have a problem with the idea of other angels than Satan because it seems that to believe in other supernatural entities is a little like being polytheistic or henotheistic rather than monotheist. The only words we wrote were: 2011, c/o 2011, and the name of our high school. There were no words of profanity written or obscene images drawn. This is my first run in with the law. I understand the difference of a prank and vandalism and deeply regret what I have done. I have been talking to a recruiter recently and have been trying to get my parents to sign the enlistment papers since I am not 18 yet. I was released to my parents at the police department after being pulled out of cl by administration and arrested. I have not yet received the paperwork informing me of my court date. The officer said depending if Im charged as an adult or juvenile, this may be a felony or misdemeanor. Im not sure how this will affect my chances at enlisting.

2005 infiniti coupe stock alarm randomly goes off. Is there a way to deactivate it?

It appears that one of the brackets on the hood is bent and this is the cause of my alarm going off every few hours. I looked in the drivers manual and it has nothing on deactivating the car alarm. Can I deactivate the alarm by locking the car with only the key or from locking it from the inside? Also, I have read something about turning down the sensitivity on the car alarm under the hood, but I thought this was only possible on custom alarms. Anything would be useful because my neighbors are starting to become hateful. If it comes down to it, I will just leave this 40,000 car unlocked, but I will not be happy about it.

Has anyone had back rib pains after having a baby?

While I was pregnant I thought that the baby was going into my ribs and it hurt my back and my ribs which made it really hard for me to breath. But now I am still having the pains after my baby is born 3 weeks ago. It feels like I can't breath and under my ribs and ribs and back are getting pushed on so i can't breath well at all. It comes and goes not regular as yesterday was the first time i had it happen to me since I had my little one but it happened three times. twice while i was sleeping and once after i ate. During my pregnancy the doctors thought it was the baby in my ribs to and or dehydration so i constantly drank water while it was happening but after drinking two bottles of water i had no more room and made myself throw up for more room but throwing up seemed to help. Unless the advil that i took kicked in. It usually happens for about 15 min at a time sometimes shorter.I was told by friends it could be my ribs and back going back to place as i am a smaller person or it could be gall stones. Has this happened to anyone before.

Why is the New Orleans & the State inacting laws that makes it hard for citizens to keep their homes?

I recently talked to a friend of mine about progress in New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina. We discuss many of the issues. During Hurricane Katrina the police and national guard took peoples guns while s bags ran around the city terrorizing the city. The police shot unarmed citizens trying to leave the city (Danziger bridge) who happened to be poor Blacks, they got off scotch free. Then the city began taking citizens cars parked within the limits of their own properties. Where did these vehicles go? Their hired private companies to do this. No matter what citizens tried to do to save thier cars, the citizens had not saying, and the private companies hired by the city went on everyone's property and stole these cars. No one asked the citizens, they didn't get a notice, a dime....Then I heard about laws enacted by the city council which penalized citizens who's gr was not at a certain level. Everyone's homes had to be in compliance at a certain point even when the so called "Road To Home" program was back logged in controversy, and to date people are still waiting for their money. Where did all that money go that was given to the State? Why are people still waiting for their "Road to Home" money. Why did the state close so many offices when they knew there was still a large case load? Why are they now banning campers and trailers on citizens' property? It all sounds like a conspiracy to land grab, to make it impossible for many New Orleans residents to return and rebuild. How can the city council push these initiates and still do photo ops as if they are helping anyone? What is the deal with the Mayor and the Republican's darling minority Bobby Jindal ? What is Jindal doing or not doing HELP!

Yes if the rent is not paid in full you will be evicted.We evict on the 4th day after the rent is due.It's a bad sitaution but you have to realize that in not paying the rent that you are cutting into someone else's income.It's make's for the same situation you are in because of the loss of a job. I do not understand why people do not realize that rent is someone's income and often their only source of income.You need to do whatever you can to get it paid or be prepared to move.

This issue arises only in firefox and the now dead netscape. after you insert an embed object such as a wma movie or a flash movie. Weight Problem?

Hi... im 13 and 3/4 years old and im 93 pounds and im 5'5. Most people at this age are like 120+. I'm average height but not weight. One of the main reasons for this is i'm pretty athletic. I got my black-belt in Taekwon-do and have recently started Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I was on the basketball team and badminton team this year. 3 times a week I weight train and run three miles on my tredmill with high incline.
